Il essaye d'installer un jeu PC avec le binaire wine pour ppc en passant par pearpc sur un x86 ? Au moins, ça lui prolonge la durée de vie du jeu ;p

Archangel M

I don't know if my being a demon has anything to do with it, but I don't see why everyone complains about Internet Explorer. I've never had a single problem with it, and I use it a lot.

Archangel :
First, what the heck ? As far as I know it's been ages since Salagir last spoke about browser wars.
Second, Internet Explorer is okay mostly everywhere, but other browsers are still better. And it is quite common that IE is ok only because the webmaster had to make its site display correctly with IE since it's the most used.
Third, IE causes damage just because it exists and is widely used, as it doesn't support yet fine features that most other support, and therefore is the one preventing to use it for complience. Sometimes it even defines its own rules on how to treat page elements, that are quite different to what is the commonly admitted rule, and usually counter-intuitive given the very name and funtion of the element. Result : The page either displays correctly with IE, either displays correctly with rule-complient browsers, either does not rely on such rules, either the webmaster has to hack his pages very naughtily to make it work everywhere, which is more a fuzzy shamanist's job than a web designer's.

Did I manage to sum up the "Why IE sucks" story all right ? ^^

Salagir's answer:

First: certainly because I have a permanant anti-IE pro-FF column on the right of the site, when displayed by IE.
Second: absolutely, and it is what I did.
Final: don't feed the troll :)
