A mon avis, et après discussion avec un ami anglophone, "As if you could buy a flat in Paris with your budget" est déjà un peu mieux, mais on perd un tout petit peu de clarté. A toi de voir.
Also, "How come we speak English??" >> "Why do we speak English??", mais comme tu veux. C'est pas une faute, mais ca peut être un peu plus mieux. A toi de voir.
